About Us

Introduction to the Research Institute

To deepen the study and implementation of Xi Jinping's rule of law ideology, actively explore the legal path of financial technology regulation, and enhance the competitiveness and regulatory level of China's financial technology, the Law and Fintech Institute (LFI for short) was officially established on October 12, 2022.


As an intellectual research institution, the Law and Fintech Institute is based at the School of Civil and Commercial Law, China University of Political Science and Law. Our goal is to study how legislative and regulatory bodies can improve the legal system and regulatory provisions of financial technology, promote the global regulatory agenda for financial technology innovation and sustainable development of the digital economy, and maximize the positive social impact of financial technology, Web3, blockchain, and artificial intelligence worldwide. We also aim to cultivate talents, build disciplines, and provide social services.



Diretor's Address

The "Decision" of the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China pointed out the need to "strengthen the construction of Chinese-style new-type think tanks and establish a sound decision-making and consulting system". The establishment of a financial rule of law think tank is an important part of the construction of new-type think tanks. The Institute is committed to making breakthroughs in scientific research, think tank construction, and other aspects, and to build itself into the most influential think tank research institution in the field of international financial technology rule of law. The Institute will also strive to build an international exchange platform for scientific research and innovation, academic discussion, policy dialogue, and cross-border cooperation for the public, and spare no effort to create a sustainable financial ecosystem, realizing the harmonious coexistence of finance and society, finance and technology, and finance and rule of law.
